The T-shirt Manufacturing Process
First of all, you will need to gather the t-shirts and clothing items that you intend to turn into a custom memory blanket by Joyaltee. A minimum of 16 panels are required, so ensure you have enough tees available. Of course, the amount of panels depends on the type of quilt you choose. This panel number can go up to 64 – or 128 if you choose the double-sided option – if you desire a King blanket. More information can be found via our FAQ section and under our products page.
Once you have your t-shirts, it’s a case of making your purchase. When doing this, there are various steps to take. Firstly, you have to decide on the panel size, which is decided by two points: the blanket size and the size of the t-shirt’s graphics. When the panel sizes – also known as square sizes – are chosen, you will also have to pick your fleece color, and the option to add an embroidery message and/or t-shirt layout.
Our expert designers know how to plan a layout that ensures your t-shirts are arranged in an eye-catching style. Yet if you want to assemble the tees into a specific pattern, we can do this for an additional fee. Simply include a clear color photo of your design, following the correct rows and columns guideline for your quilt type, and we will use this when creating your product. Also please pick this option, DYO at check out.
Once your order has been placed, we will send you an email, including the next steps for you to take. This includes detailed instructions about how to prepare and cut the shirts you want to use. Then it’s a case of placing your shirt panels into an appropriately sized box and sending them to us. Remember: only send the correct number of panels required for your chosen blanket size. Once we receive your parcel, we will send a confirmation email.
The work then shifts over to us. One of our sewing artisans will take your panels and stitch them together with care and precision.
When we have finished the t-shirt quilt, we prepare it for shipment. The blanket is placed into a poly bag, which is water-resistant, which helps to keep it protected. For that added assurance, your blanket is supplied with insurance coverage, and you can track it during transit. Also the shipping is free of charge across the United States.
We are confident that you will be overjoyed with the results of our expert sewing and planning. If you have a question, our support team is ready to assist and rectify any issues. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ve been making t-shirt memory quilts for over 30 years and our ultimate goal is always to guarantee our you, the customer is 100% satisfied with the results.
