We recently purchased our first RV and our most favorite spot to take the kids camping for the weekend is the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Guadalupe in Kerrville, TX!! Visit their website HERE!
We only live about 45 minutes away from this Jellystone but it always feels like we go on a full blown vacation even though we only go away for the weekend!
This trip was our 4th weekend stay here at this Jellystone and it was nothing short of amazing for us and the kids!!
We stayed right in the middle, in one of the yellow spaces on the map, which was a super short walk to the pool as well as to the rec hall!
The actual RV spots are small but spacious and we always feel like we have enough room between our camper and our neighbors. Each site comes with fun hookups and sewer, which is a MUST with small kids, lol!
We pulled in on a Friday night and hurried to set up camp so we could run to the water park, only a short walk from our camper!!
So. Much. Fun!!!!
The waterpark is PERFECT for any aged child. There are also two bigger pools which are nice for the adults as well! At this waterpark, there are 2 larger slides for the older kids, and also 2 smaller slides on the back side for the smaller kiddos!
Our kids play in the water here FOR HOURS, lol!!
In the mornings, we love to whip up a hearty breakfast to sustain us through out the day!! The kids love cooking for us and they absolutely love our camping "outdoor kitchen"!
Everyday Jellystone offers activities for the kids! Laser tag, crafts, dj parties, movies under the stars, etc. On this day, the kids decided they wanted to go to the rec hall for some arts and crafts!
They had all kinds of arts and crafts including ceramics, melted beadwork, leather tooling, etc. The crafts cost money but they still cost less than if you bought them at a hobby store and besides, they're FUN!
Both kids decided they wanted to paint ceramics and the girls who were working the arts tables were SO NICE and helpful!!!
Doesn't it remind you of summer camp??!!
After we crafted our hearts out, we went back to the camper and ate lunch and then headed back to the water park for a couple hours of non stop swimming!!
Here's more pics from our lazzzzzzy Saturday at Jellystone Guadalupe...
Don't forget to check out the AWESOME general store they have too! Our kids love to save their money so that when we get to Jellystone, they can buy themselves a treat! This trip though, they decided to each get their "kids scoop" of Blue Bell Ice Cream, which was only $1 each!! What a deal!!
Can I also mention the STARS at night here!? You can walk the property and see the most AMAZING night sky, loaded with stars! Nighttime is magical here.
Omgosh, and don't forget their pancake breakfast on Sunday before you check out!!! All you can eat and $5 a person! Enough to fill the kids up, without having to cook! win, win!!!
They also have one of those enormous JUMP PADS which we love to visit early in the morning, before it gets too hot! It's so much fun for the kids to get wild on and the view of the river from here is simply gorgeous!
And then there is the back lawn of the campground which is ammmmmazing! The kids love to run around and climb the huge trees! On our next visit we plan to rent a golf cart which we saw everyone driving along the back dirt paths and it looked like so much fun!
So in conclusion, when our family wants to go camping, close to San Antonio but out in the country, we go to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Guadalupe in Kerrville, TX! It is one of our most favorite spots in the world!!
